Janal Reid and her husband have mentored my husband and I since before we were married, and I am so excited to be sitting down with her today. She and her husband turned Serveway Heating and Air from an idea on paper into a successful HVAC company that serves all of DFW and has generated millions in revenue. With eleven years in the game, their marriage is stronger than ever. In this episode, Janal breaks down what it actually takes to run a business with your spouse, raise your kid inside that business, and still put your marriage above the numbers. We get into:
1. How to run a business with your spouse without losing your marriage
2. Maintaining a strong culture in business
3. Realizing you can be a great mother AND a successful entrepreneur
4. How they almost lost it all financially — and bounced back even stronger
5. Why women are changing the game in the HVAC industry, and so much more Even though HVAC is a male-dominated trade, serving on the board for Women in HVACR, has shown Janal even more why women should consider the trades industry, not just as technicians but as business owners. Janal's mission is clear: she is building a business to become a legacy for her family and her community.

Giulliana Mazzi is the Director of Marketing for a company with four different brands, and she's doing it as a one person marketing team. In this episode, we talk about how she uses Claude to run email workflows, build AI agents, and even build entire websites, all for about $25 a month.
We get into why she thinks small businesses should try AI before hiring an agency, the number one branding mistake she sees small businesses make, and the prompt she uses to teach Claude her entire brand in one sitting. She also shares why she thinks AI generated images and UGC are ruining trust with customers, and what she's doing instead.
If you're building a business with a limited budget and no marketing team, this one is for you.

Dr. Ezinwanne (Ezi) Ejesieme didn't build her dental practice from scratch, she bought a failed, patient-less office that needed a lot of work and turned it into a thriving business with a five-star reputation.
In this episode, she breaks down what it actually costs to buy and rebuild a dental practice, why keeping overhead low matters more than any expensive equipment upgrade, how to tell a real mentor from an overpriced consultant, and how she built a team culture that respects her leadership as a young Black female business owner.
A real conversation about ownership, money, faith, and what it actually takes to build something of your own.

This week on the podcast, I'm sitting down with my friend Megan Noble. She's a Dallas realtor and the founder of Money Moves, a platform she started to empower women to start investing. We sat down to talk about the investing conversation most of us never got growing up. Megan breaks down how she went from feeling clueless about money to building real wealth through smart investing, and she's giving us the exact moves she wishes someone had told her sooner.
What to Expect
How Megan turned $7,000 into over $100,000 through mutual funds, no day trading, no financial advisor, just consistency most people give up on
The car ride where she surrendered her business to God and watched everything shift after that
Her honest truth about real estate, it is not the easy money people assume, and what kept her showing up when the pipeline was empty
Why she says being a girl's girl is the secret sauce to building real wealth
You don't need a finance degree for this one, just an open mind and maybe a notebook. Press play and let's get into it.
For Wealth, Wellness and Womanhood's first podcast guest, it had to be none other than my sister Frances Uzoukwu. We're only 15 months apart (I'll let you guess who's older). I've always looked up to her discipline with money and how she bounces back from anything. She turned getting unceremoniously fired into her dream move, spending two years in Paris earning her MBA.
Here's the part that even I couldn't believe. She invested 75% of her income to pay off $33,000 in student loan debt in less than two years! It's a masterclass in aggressive strategy, but it also meant real sacrifice. But here's what I loved most: she's honest about how her perspective on money has shifted. She still believes in financial discipline, but now she knows the balance matters too. You can't do it all at once, and life is meant to be enjoyed.
If you're an ambitious woman trying to figure out your financial life, this episode is for you.

Money awareness changed everything for me, and I’m sharing exactly how it can change your life too. In this episode, I’m getting vulnerable about the month I spent over $2,000 on Uber Eats and why being more aware of your finances is key for financial freedom both personally and in business.
We’re diving deep into:
• Why you’re not “bad with money,” you’re just unaware
• The difference between spending that drains you and spending that buys back your time
• How to implement a 30-day tracking challenge (spoiler: it’s not about restriction)
• Critical money mindset shifts for entrepreneurs and business owners
• Why wealthy people obsess over their finances (and why you should too)
• My game-changing app, Monarch, and other practical tools
If you’ve been avoiding your bank account or feeling shame around your spending, this episode is for you.

Nobody hands you a manual for choosing a business partner. And nobody tells you that the process looks almost identical to choosing a spouse. Both are legally binding. Both can change your financial future. And both can be devastating if you get it wrong.
In this episode, I am getting personal. I am sharing the full story of how I went from having panic attacks before work as a brand new dentist, to becoming a practice owner in a partnership I genuinely love and breaking down the surprising parallels between how I chose my business partner and how I chose my husband. Spoiler: the checklist was basically the same.
I get into the green flags most people overlook, the red flags most people ignore, and the exact questions you need to be asking before you commit to building with anyone. I also share the one piece of advice my husband gave me that completely redirected my career, the moment my business partner said something that told me everything I needed to know about her character, and why transparency from day one is a non-negotiable.
This episode is for you if you are considering a business partnership, at a crossroads in your career, or just trying to make better decisions about who you let into your building process.

You have people who love you. But do you have people who get you?
There's a difference between a support system and a peer system. A lot of ambitious women have plenty of the first and almost none of the second. Your friends and family show up for you and they cheer you on. But as your dreams start to grow, eventually even your most well-meaning loved ones can start to question you and look at you sideways. What you actually need are women who see the vision, who are building something too, and who can say "I know exactly what that feels like" without you worrying that you sound crazy for wanting to be in the next Forbes 30 Under 30 class.
In this episode, I talk about why ambition can feel so isolating and what it really looks like to find your peer system in addition to your support system.
