  • Angel Marr: 10k months, breaking old habits, and creating a sustainable freelance life

Success as a freelancer isn’t about working harder, shrinking yourself, or finding the perfect niche.

It starts when you stop seeing burnout as something to be proud of and choose a path that supports your life beyond work. Today on Wealthy Artist, we’re joined by Angel Marr, author of the Substack Online Offline Club and social media manager for To Be Magnetic. She shares her journey from living paycheck to paycheck and starting over in a new place to building a freelance life that feels creative, exciting, and truly sustainable.

She talks about working a series of odd jobs, a tough assistant PR and nanny position, and how a conversation with Grace Abbott of How to Go Freelance inspired her to put herself first. We chat about starting from scratch as fire signs, why narrowing your focus can feel limiting, how intuition guides us, and how the best opportunities often show up when you stop trying to force them.

We also talk about manifestation, Angel’s snail mail club, taking road trips, and building an offline life that still feels big and exciting. This conversation is refreshing and full of practical advice. If you’re a freelancer, a creative, or thinking about a big career change, this episode will remind you that you don’t have to start over completely to begin again.

*btw, this post is not sponsored or in collab with To Be Magnetic, though that would be so cool. We just spoke about it a lot, as it’s one of the ways we met and got to know each other :)

  • Hayley Stone pt2: Finding Love & Career After She Stopped Performing

Our chat was split into 2 episodes, so be sure to tune in to both!!

After leaving a coveted Sotheby’s career and moving from New York to London, Paris, and now the south of France, Hayley has learned that real wealth isn't money; it’s safety. Welcome back to Wealthy Artist!! Today we have my dear friend and TBM buddy, Hayley Stone. We discussed her journey from growing up in New York, to studying abroad in London, to working at Sotheby’s, to now living in the south of France as a breathwork facilitator - and of course, everything in between!

If you’ve ever felt like your identity was built around your job, relationship, or the city you live in, this conversation is for you. We unpack the hidden cost of living for external validation and the courageous work of growing into yourself instead of trying to reinvent your life from a place of panic.

Hayley shares how breathwork helped her regulate anxiety, reconnect with her body, and stop mistaking fear for truth, and how she now helps women living abroad through her own breathwork practice. You’ll hear how she moved from auction schedules and an identity tied to Sotheby’s to building a life and business rooted in breathwork, identity work, and nervous system support. Together, we explore the many shifts that helped Hayley move from performing who she thought she should be to living in alignment with her values.

This one is for my fellow Gen Z and Millennial girls; it’s a reminder that the life you want is already within reach and the work is learning to feel safe enough to receive it. This episode is for anyone navigating a major transition, craving a more aligned life, or learning to be seen without abandoning themselves.

  • Wealthy Artist Ep.1 : A Journey to Creative Freedom

In this first episode of Wealthy Artist, Alyah introduces the heart of the series: a creative space built on honesty, self-expression, and the messy beauty of becoming. She shares the story behind the project, why she created it, and how her journey through corporate life, artistry, and self-discovery shaped this vision.

This episode is a reflection on what it means to be an artist, what it means to build a life on your own terms, and why community, vulnerability, and creativity matter now more than ever. If you’ve ever felt like you were rebuilding yourself, learning to trust your vision, or trying to create without perfectionism getting in the way, this one is for you 💕
