~ Having a laser focus on your goals does not mean you stop learning or prevent you from offering new services. Adding new services that take your skills into a deeper space, not one that is not related to your current offerings. Adding foley sound to your audio service would be going deeper, but travel would spread you in a wider direction.

~ Having conviction in your work and your offerings is important. Don’t go into a situation where you are more confident than your skill level should allow you to be, but also stretch yourself just enough so that you have to grow with the project.

~ Create work, even if for free, that you want to keep doing, again and again. This way you do not get stuck in a position where you have to continue doing things that you hate because it is what pays the bills.

~ Perspective is everything! We each make a choice on how to see things and how we react to what happens to or for us. Judging everyone or thing through one lens limits your ability to grow and be happy. Finding the right balance, the path without resistance can allow you to enjoy where you are at now.

~ Wealth + finances do not always equal happiness. Taking control of what you feel, you need in to feel successful

~ “The ability to be grateful, happy and content with where you are, while also being simultaneously desire to grow” is a key to finding happiness and balance in both life and business.

~Channeling you focus in one direction allows you to make more and faster progress on the tasks at hand. What things do you allow to take you away from what you want or need to focus on, find those things and then delegate or outsource them to someone else.

~ Become clear in the things that you feel the most productive, powerful and your best work. Staying in those tasks will help keep your motivation higher.

~ Collaboration can be a huge key to success within your business, staving off stagnation, boredom and burnout.

~ You have been a second shooter for awhile now, and now you want to move on and start your own business. Loyalty is great, but you can move on and should when you are ready. Give your partner notice and help them, and yourself, Don’t let loyalty stifle your own growth.

~ Gaining mental focus and clarity while still working as a second shooter allows you to find your zone of genius and determine exactly what type of clients you want to work with.

~ Explore your sphere; friends, family, acquaintances; for possibilities to do case study. Once that case study is done it will allow you to build momentum and move forward with new found confidence.

~ Are you setting yourself up for failure? Submitting projects to clients with the expectation that it needs more allows them to find errors. Instead submit the work to them, with no pre qualifiers and often they are happy and no hours are needed.

~Designing a life that brings you happiness and a feeling of success is a matter of mindset.

~ Who has control of your business? Setting expectations for yourself and your clients is empowering, allowing you to feel successful more often. Gives you the ability for your measurement metrics to be fluid.

~ Strategic partnerships can be the win-win-win way to success. There are many paths to a destination. Staying stuck in rigid thinking can hold you and your business from the success you are trying to achieve.

~ Having thoughts and patterns that inspire you into action are often more powerful than rigid accountability. Letting go of the rigid plan and taking steps, action, without expectations can lead you to the easier path of success. More work does not make it better.

~ Taking off your blinders and being open to the “bread” crumbs that often fall in front of you with clarity, magic can happen in your business and life.
