Strengthened John 14:12, 16-17
12 “Truly, truly, I say to you, believes in me will also do the works that I do; and works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.
16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you
another Helper, to be with you forever, 17 even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.
How can we do greater work?
What is the greater work?
John 21, “Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” 22 And with that he breathed on them
and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”
Ruach = wind or breath or spirit

The Holy Spirit brings life to our dead souls.
“And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.” Romans 8:11
EZEKIEAL 37: 9 Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath RUACH; prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath RUACH, Thus says the Lord God: Come from the four winds, O breath RUACH, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.” 10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath RUACH came into them, and they lived and stood on their feet, an exceedingly great army.
The Holy Spirit empowers us to live for Him.
“But you will receive power dynamin when the Holy Spirit has came upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8
“I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power dynamis of God for salvation to everyone who believes, first to the
Jew, then to the Greek.” Romans 1:16
The Holy Spirit brings life and power through truth.
Kent Hughes “Invite the Word to plow deep bleeding furrows into your heart, and invite the Spirit to turn them into channels of grace.” -
Acts 2:2-3 And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and hit filled the entire house where they
were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them.
37 Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, what shall we
do?” 38 And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.” 40 And with many other words he bore witness and continued to exhort them, saying, “Save yourselves from this crooked generation.” 41 So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls.
