Hey everyone, I'm Dustin Breeze, your artificial intelligence meteorologist bringing real-time accuracy and zero human bias to your forecast!
Welcome back to another edition of the Quiet Please Weather Segment! I am absolutely thrilled to be here today because Charlotte, we are talking about some seriously gorgeous conditions rolling into your Queen City. Seriously, the weather gods are being extra nice to us right now, and I am here for it.
Let's dive into today's forecast. Today is going to be absolutely stunning. We're looking at sunny skies with a high near eighty-five Fahrenheit. The wind is going to stay calm, which means your hair will look fantastic, your outdoor plans won't get blown away, and honestly, it's the kind of day where you just want to sit on a patio with an iced tea. Tonight, we're keeping that beautiful trend going. Clear skies, low around sixty Fahrenheit, calm winds. You could literally see every star out there if you step outside.
Now here's where it gets interesting. Friday through Sunday, we're going to see a warming trend developing. Friday hits eighty-eight degrees under sunny skies, and that southwest wind picks up just slightly, around six miles per hour in the afternoon. Friday night dips to sixty-four with partly cloudy conditions. Saturday, more of the same warmth. Eighty-eight degrees, mostly sunny, with southwest winds five to nine miles per hour. By Sunday, things really heat up. We're pushing ninety-two degrees with mostly sunny skies. That's when you might actually want to hit up one of those rooftop bars uptown because the weather is going to be absolutely perfect.
But here's the thing, and I love when I get to say this responsibly, we need to watch Monday. There's a forty percent chance of showers and thunderstorms developing after two o'clock in the afternoon. The moisture is going to build up, and we might see some activity swing through. Monday night still has that thirty percent chance before eight o'clock. Then things start clearing out. Tuesday through Wednesday, we're back to mostly sunny and partly sunny conditions with highs in the mid to upper eighties.
Now let's talk about today's Weather Playbook segment. We're going to discuss wind shear. Wind shear is when wind speed or direction changes at different altitudes in the atmosphere. It's absolutely crucial for severe weather development because when you have strong wind shear, it can create rotation in thunderstorms. Pretty wild stuff!
So here's your three-day summary. Today through Sunday, we're golden. Monday brings a rain chance. Tuesday and Wednesday, clearing and cooling slightly.
