Good morning, Houston! This is your weather update for the week ahead, coming to you from the National Weather Service.
Buckle up for a foggy start to the week! We've got a Dense Fog Advisory in effect, so take it slow on those morning commutes. Overnight temperatures will hover around a mild 61 degrees, with a gentle south wind keeping things comfortable.
Monday is looking like a weather mood swing. We'll start with some patchy fog before 10 am, but then the clouds will break, giving way to a mostly sunny afternoon. Expect temperatures to climb to a pleasant 77 degrees, with south winds between 5 to 10 miles per hour.
Tuesday follows a similar pattern - areas of fog in the morning, then gradually clearing to mostly sunny skies. We'll see temperatures reach near 78 degrees with a light southeast breeze.
Wednesday continues our foggy morning trend, but don't worry - it'll clear up to become mostly sunny with temperatures again near 78 degrees.
As we roll into Thursday and Friday, we're looking at partly sunny conditions with highs around 80 degrees. Patchy fog will make its appearance in the early mornings, so keep those headlights ready.
Weekend forecast brings a bit of excitement - on Sunday, we've got a 30 percent chance of showers. Temperatures will cool slightly to around 78 degrees, with mostly cloudy skies.
