Good morning, Kansas City! I'm your friendly neighborhood weather forecaster, and boy, do we have a chilly forecast ahead.
Let's break down what Mother Nature has in store for us. Tonight, we're looking at a mostly clear sky with temperatures hovering around a frosty 13 degrees. Wind chill values will dip between zero and 5 degrees, so bundle up! Winds from the south will be blowing at 8 to 10 miles per hour.
Moving into Thursday, expect increasing clouds with a high near 33 degrees. Wind chill values will remain frigid, ranging from zero to 10 degrees. Southwestern winds will gust up to 18 miles per hour, so keep that winter coat handy.
Thursday night brings a 60 percent chance of snow, mainly before 11 pm. We could see one to two inches of accumulation, with temperatures dropping to around 23 degrees. Winds will shift from southwest to northwest after midnight.
Friday keeps things cool and mostly cloudy, with a high near 29 degrees and northern northwestern winds at 7 to 10 miles per hour.
The weekend looks a bit more bearable with partly sunny conditions on Saturday, reaching a high of 33 degrees. Sunday follows a similar pattern with partly sunny skies and a high near 32 degrees.
Next week starts off chilly, with Monday's high barely reaching 21 degrees and mostly sunny skies.
