Good morning, Twin Cities! This is your weather update for Minneapolis, Minnesota, and boy, are we in for a chilly ride!
Let's cut right to the chase - we're dealing with an extreme cold warning that's no joke. Overnight temperatures are plummeting to negative 17 degrees Fahrenheit, with wind chill values dropping to a bone-chilling negative 29 degrees. Bundle up, folks!
Tuesday's forecast is bringing more of the arctic freeze. Expect a high of just 3 degrees Fahrenheit, with wind chill values dipping to negative 32 degrees. Northwest winds will be blowing between 5 to 10 miles per hour, making it feel even colder.
The deep freeze continues into Tuesday night, with temperatures falling to negative 14 degrees Fahrenheit. Wednesday offers a slight warmup, reaching a whopping 7 degrees Fahrenheit - practically beach weather, right? Just kidding!
As we move into Thursday and Friday, we'll see a gradual warming trend. By Saturday, we're looking at temperatures climbing to a relatively balmy 32 degrees Fahrenheit. Sunday brings an even more welcome sight with temperatures reaching 41 degrees Fahrenheit.
