Good morning, Minneapolis! Bundle up because winter is giving us quite the cold shoulder today.
Overnight, we're looking at partly cloudy skies with temperatures dipping down to a chilly 14 degrees. Winds will be softly blowing from the south southeast at around 5 miles per hour.
Thursday brings a snow adventure! Expect snow to start after 1 in the afternoon, with temperatures barely reaching 25 degrees Fahrenheit. The wind will shift from south southeast to west northwest, and we've got a 90 percent chance of precipitation with potentially a half inch of snow accumulation.
As we move into Thursday night, there's a slight chance of snow before 8 in the evening, followed by some flurries between 8 and 11. Temperatures will settle around 18 degrees Fahrenheit with northwest winds between 5 to 10 miles per hour.
Friday continues the winter theme with a chance of flurries after noon, partly sunny skies, and a high near 23 degrees Fahrenheit. The weekend looks increasingly interesting with snow potential, especially Saturday night and Sunday morning.
By Sunday night, we're diving into some seriously cold territory with temperatures plummeting to zero degrees Fahrenheit. Monday will be mostly sunny but frigid, with highs around 8 degrees Fahrenheit.
For those winter weather warriors, we recommend layering up, checking your vehicle's winter preparedness, and staying informed about changing conditions.
