Buckle up, because we've got a Winter Storm Warning in effect, and Mother Nature is about to serve up a chilly cocktail of snow, freezing rain, and some seriously cold temperatures!
Let's break it down. Today, expect increasing clouds with a high near 39 degrees Fahrenheit. There's a 30 percent chance of snow, mainly after 5 pm, with potentially less than half an inch accumulating. The wind will be calm, then shift to a gentle southerly breeze around 5 miles per hour in the afternoon.
Tonight is where things get interesting! We're looking at a wintry mix of freezing rain, snow, and sleet. Temperatures will drop to around 29 degrees Fahrenheit, with a 100 percent chance of precipitation. Prepare for up to 0.3 inches of ice and around an inch of snow and sleet.
Saturday brings a slight chance of freezing rain in the early morning, followed by gradually clearing skies. The high will reach 43 degrees Fahrenheit, with northwest winds potentially gusting up to 24 miles per hour.
The weekend continues with clear, cold nights and sunny days. Sunday will be bright and crisp, with temperatures hovering around 41 degrees Fahrenheit. Monday and Tuesday follow a similar pattern of sunny skies and chilly nights.
By mid-week, we're looking at continued sunny conditions with highs in the upper 30s and lows dipping into the teens.
