I recommend this movie because it is clean entertainment (at the very end there is a kissing scene) is educational about weather and grief. It is a heart racing movie. "What happens when you take Steven Spielberg, John Williams, the movie Twister and throw it in a blender? You get the audacious film Supercell from first time filmmaker Herbert James "Jamie" Winterstern starring Anne Heche in one of her final film roles. Raised on a steady diet of Amblin, Jamie wears his influences on his sleeve (but in the best possible way). The film sort of needs to be seen to be believed and you will be left wondering how the filmmaker managed to make such an amazing-looking and sounding film on such a modest budget. And while Supercell may seem like just a movie about modern day storm chasing (which legitimately brings in thrill seeking tourists dollars to the region every year), it is at its core a human story about the grief of a young man searching for his identity. The film is set for PVOD release from Saban Films on March 17 and also stars Skeet Ulrich, Daniel Diemer, newcomer Jordan Kristine Seamón, and Alec Baldwin."
