See podcasts screenshot which was made 5 days ago: A wild forecast for Boston Massachusetts especially in comparison with Poughkeepsie, New York. This wild forecast proved to be accurate. The GFS model informed us last week to only have confidence in the European computer model through Tuesday. The warmth in the Midwest ends later today the 90s on the East Coast also ends today (as the GFS model forecasted but not the European) except for the mid- Atlantic area southward. Baltimore will have one more day with highs well into the 90s. Severe weather risk today in Midwest.

Made May 30th: Record heat for Poughkeepsie New York expected tomorrow. Cool winds off the Atlantic develop tomorrow afternoon in Boston. GFS and Euro model both have their share in accuracy. GFS brought the hurricane into awareness last week. Dew points under 70° despite high soil moisture in Missouri. Very dry soil in Massachusetts may play a role in 90° heat for tomorrow, but backdoor cold front off 55° ocean drops temps towards 60 or lower in Boston. Strong storm system in Dakotas brings precipitation with storms some strong or severe across Midwest this evening and again tomorrow evening. Storms tomorrow evening in Chicago. Cold front moves through Midwest tomorrow night ending the 86°+ warmth. 86° - 96° heat continues tomorrow out east and for Baltimore even on Wednesday. Temps closer to 86 in Midwest and closer to 96 close to Baltimore next to the downslope winds. In theory 96° would also develop in the dry soil of Massachusetts. Hurricane discussion is not included on this podcast. Hurricane Agatha will move into Mexico tonight and fall apart as it passes through the mountain range. As the weak system moves into the Gulf of Mexico there is potential for tropical storm formation to occur but doesn't look to be strong at this time. The system will likely move northeast into Florida by this weekend.

This podcast discusses the hot to very hot weather occurring in the desert southwest and northern intermountain region, how the severe weather potential over the Midwest moves to the east coast on Friday, the 4 consecutive days of highs from 86° (over soil moist grounds but climatology supports 90° for St.Louis despite soil moist grounds) to 96° (mid 90s where downslope winds occur or larger cities or lower dew point air (Baltimore and Philadelphia are the cities in mind) over the Midwest and east coast, connection between soil moisture and little if any climate change, how soil moisture is having a clear impact on dew point this year and how this will reduce temperatures in midwest for the upcoming heat, upslope winds increase temperature for Baltimore, the backdoor cold front that may overtake Boston on Tuesday (see podcast picture) or Wednesday but heat returns for Thursday (even Boston), the large contrast in temperature over North Dekota expected Tuesday, the severe weather outbreak for North Dakota expected Saturday. This podcast comes with background music which in order to enhance the experience of "suspense" and an entertaining song at the end. It will be interesting monitoring the temperatures in Massachusetts next week especially since both the coldest and possibly even the hottest temp may occur in that state. Hope you all enjoy!
