AccuWeather Network’s Regina Miller is joined this week by Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Executive Producer, Susan Tercero. Susan discusses all that goes into the iconic holiday spectacle along with how weather affects the planning and execution of the parade.

Find out about all the new balloons such as the elves from Netflix’s “The Christmas Chronicles,”  plus classics like Pikachu, Charlie Brown, and Spongebob Squarepants. The day includes performances by John Legend, Mackenzie Ziegler, and the cast of Broadway’s Mean Girls alongside favorites such as Diana Ross, and the Radio City Rockettes. Appearances will also be made by 1,200 cheerleaders and dancers, 1,000 clowns, 12 marching bands and, of course, the man himself, Santa Claus!  

Learn about the year and a half it requires for the planning, along with meteorologists responsible for making weather-related decisions that ensure the balloons will be flying their highest, and performers will be putting on their best show.
