The Slightly tardy episode of the School of Podcasting is out talking about Editing

I heard about this tool from Michael Hyatt. It's pretty cool, its called Similarweb.com

I could write a giant blog post about it, but in the end it would take last time to just go use it. You learn all sort of great insights into your website (that in theory you can get from analytics), but you can't get analytics about your competition - and you can enter their URL and find out all sorts of cool stuff about them. You can see if what people are paying on their site, where there traffic is coming from. You can see how their traffic got there and much, much more...

It also shows you the top websites (which you can choose different categories).

Everyone and their brother is promoting this tool, and there is a reason for it. This seems very, very cool (I bought it today, but I haven't used it yet). It works on both PC or Mac, and it's super cheap. It's called Video Maker FC.

Here is what you get:

240 Animated video slide templates (you can customize these).

20 Royalty Free Tracks

1 Year of Support and updates

Completely edit the background

It takes some of the best-looking examples that you've seen in other videos and rolls them into one. Check this out.

Here we go

There are some tools I spotlight on this show that I just have to buy and MySpeed is one of them. I can't believe how much I'm using it. What does it do? It speeds up flash videos or html videos (or audio). It also slows them down if you need to take notes. It works on just about anything (it doesn't work on Quick Time videos, but for me, it works on YouTube which is all I needed).Check out this video

If you're interested it's only $29 ($99 if you get the version that works offline). I can't believe how much time this is going to save me. Do the podcast a favor and use my affiliate link www.weeklywebtools.com/myspeed (http://www.weeklywebtools.com/myspeed) and I'll earn a quick commission.

(http://www.weeklywebtools.com/audible) Today's show is brought to you by Audible.com where I am currently listening to Face the Music a Life Exposed by Paul Stanley (the lead singer of Kiss). It is amazing. I found out that Paul grew up missing a right ear, and that side of his head was deaf. It is AMAZING, and filled with amazing stories.

One the great things about this time is there are a ton of people creating great looking, extremely flexible, feature rich wordpress themes. Today I stumbled across Atomlux from   less than $40 (http://weeklywebtools.com/atomlabs) .

The theme is not only flexible, but has a ton of training to go with it. Here is an example of one of their videos on making a call to action.

Update on Survey 2 Sale

I talked about Survey 2 Sale www.weeklywebtools.com/surveysale (http://www.weeklywebtools.com/surveysale) (affiliate link)

Today we talk about consuming the show and another time scheduling tool. Then we get into the instasuite of products that I discovered after purchasing instatheme.

Betty Scheduling Tool trybetty.com is a free scheduling tool that works inside your email. I looked at it, but for me personally the biggest hurdle of scheduling on a global scale can be a nightmare when it comes to time zones. I was using calend.ly and it messed them up. I tried timetrade.com and others. Betty makes me manually choose what time zone my guest is in. In some cases I have no idea, and that won't work for me. The other alternative is to let your guest figure it out. No thanks

Schedule Once is My New Solution Currently I've settled on scheduleonce.com (http://www.scheduleonce.com) which smacks people in the head when they schedule appointments with me and asks for the time zone. It then emails then 24 hours, and hour and if I want 10 minutes before the meeting and it follows up with them after the meeting.

Instatheme I purchased instatheme as it looks very flexible and it has a drag and drop feature that makes building pages a snap. It appears to have just the right amount of flexibility, without going too far to where you are overwhelmed by all of the options. I will be talking more about this as I get some hands on time with it.

InstaMember When I bought instamember (tp://weeklywebtools.com/instamember) site, they list all these great features like

Built-in affiliate program

integrates with goto webinar.com

multiple products, subscriptions, etc.

Works with multiple payment types, and autoresponders

Works with affiliate networks like clickbank

It didn't appear to have a drip feature. I emailed their support (once I found it), and got a quick answer. They do have a drip function. When I asked if you get a "10,000 foot overview" of your content and when it would be released, they sent a screenshot showing you did indeed. Cool. If you're new to dripping, this is where you create a bunch of content and then let it release over time. This helps your membership site retention levels stay high. Very cool. While there are a few features that Digital Access Pass has (like a dime sale, and stripe integration) I can now see where instamember (tp://weeklywebtools.com/instamember) is something everyone should consider if you're looking to create a membership site. At $47 (that includes a "lite" version of instatheme) you might want to check it out.

Instabuilder Instabuilder is a plugin that allows you to do, well, just about everything. Yes, you can make cool marketing pages with video, bullet points, it has great tools like a countdown timer, the ability to integrate with twitter and facebook, and a whole lot more. The best part it is also around $47 Please note links in the post include affiliate links.
