Myfreepharmacy.com is for real!  We were told about a program that helps provide free medication. We didn't believe it and thought it was a gimmick. We had to go see for ourselves. After spending time with their team and seeing their facility in Akron, Ohio, We're convinced their program will change the game with the cost of medication. This podcast serves as a public service announcement to those who need help getting their medication. If you're tired of spending too much money on your medicine, please listen carefully.

Podiums have become a platform for fools

He was rude and completely disrespectful..but I was a fool.

Ansar Bustamante has plenty to say about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. As a young man he traveled with his father, Mr. John Bustamante, who was one of Dr. Kings trusted friends. He spoke of Dr. Kings time in Cleveland, Ohio. He recalls the mission of Civil Rights as this important era made its way through Cleveland. Finally, he highlights the pioneering milestones of his dad in banking, media, business and Cleveland politics.

Senior adult Americans make up a considerable amount of members in our community. This includes where we work, where we shop, where we attend school and of course, in our homes. The Senior Aged community are among the most critical citizens in our country. So when they need help, we should be able to provide it. The National Caucus & Center on Black Aging, Inc. is an agency that is providing the help for the senior aged  minorities who are 55 and older. The NCBA serves 8 states and the District of Columbia, including a center in Cleveland, Ohio. "Living The Blues" caught up with the staff on their annual Senior Expo who had plenty to tell us about what they are doing.

Mutawaf Shaheed is a frequent guest on "Living The Blues".  An author, and a religious leader that has never been a person to avoid tough subjects. Especially those that get other people in trouble. This time he unleashes a set of critiques and advice for his own. But then again, no one is safe. 

Associate Professor Emmitt Jolly teaches biology at case Western Reserve University. But most importantly and relevant to now, he has spent his career studying infectious diseases. He is with us to discuss the covid 19 Virus, the vaccine and the reluctance to take it

Author Annette Gordon-Reed's book "On Juneteenth" discusses the issues surrounding the celebration from her view born in Texas, where it all began. Although Juneteenth is now a Federal Holiday, there are still some African American people who are familiar with what the day is all about. A few people from the community read the book and dropped by to share what they thought.  Listen as Carol Shaheed, Dr. MaryAnn Harris and Eboni Bogan provide their insight on this short read.
