Welcome to our erev Pesach zman of casses, focusing on the ‘Maggid’ of the Hagadah of Peasach.  Each week we will explore the nature of this role, this effort and expresion woven by the Sages into a multi-layered experience of ritual guidance, historical perspective, family interactive and group praise of Hashem.

The simple surface of the story the Maggid tells is anything but simple.

Can the hot water urn used all year long be used on Pesach if it never touched chametz? What about the coffee grinder or french press, the electric mixer, the hot plate, the cuisinart, the non-chametz sandwich maker? As Dovid becomes more beloved by everyone he meets, Shaul feels more and more threatened. He will start looking for more and more creative ways to get Dovid killed, hoping that if he “takes out” the competition maybe he can keep the throne.
