Is it a sin for a man to wear a hat in church? Or for a woman not to wear a head covering? If you only look at the surface, you could point to some verses of Scripture and make those arguments. But, as Pastor Bill will point out in today’s message, we need to exercise discernment in the Holy Spirit to determine what was a cultural matter and an issue of respect versus what was a matter of sin and dishonoring God. Ultimately it comes down to a heart posture of submission to Christ and love for each other.
