His brainchild, Top 5 Fiend is an award-winning live music booking & promotions organization based in Providence, RI featuring local & national acts. Working with some of the best local venues including The Parlour, AS220 and The News Cafe his goal is to take the greed out of booking musicians. In April, he has an annual muti-night birthday benefit, donating the proceeds to RI's, j. Arthur Trudeau Memorial Center. Happening April 18th, 19th & 20th. The line-up of artists is eclectic, featuring artists such as, The Sonce, Jesse the Tree and on night #3, The Grizzlies, part of an all-female line-up. Listen as he explains his affinity for UCONN men's basketball. He and Scott discuss how this back-to-back NCAA tournament champion team may progress and the difference between UCONN in the ACC vs Big East. They also reminisce about the pivotal 2005 NCAA men's tournament, where Scott's broadcast partner, T.J. Sorrentine is forever in the history books with Vermont's stunning upset of #4 seed Syracuse, "from the parking lot!". There's also a nugget about a bet between a (now) Sports Illustrated journalist and Rob. Stay tuned to June 2024, when Top 5 Fiend's first ever 10-year anniversary "Fiend Fiesta!!!" is scheduled.
