As we look at Matthew 7. We once again ‘check’ our motivations when it comes to judging others. Is wrong to judge on all accounts?

We have been given the mind of Christ, with the ability to assess, critique, and discern matters; yet we cannot outperform our need of God’s grace & mercy.

Jesus in other words is encouraging us to 'fight the puff up'. None of us have arrived in reflecting the fullness of spiritual maturity in Christ. We all fall short, equally a work in progress enjoying transformation by the power of God's Spirit. The mark of a believer's spiritual maturity is the willingness to be open to the critique of fellow believers, while equally inquiring of the Lord together and serving one another towards the goal of becoming more like Jesus.
