IT's ORIENTATION DAY
In Week 3, Pastor Andrew preaches from Matthew 5:21-30 and Gen 4 in how in Jesus we all undergo heart surgery. The epicenter of our life is under daily renewal, so we become more like Christ in this world. As children of God now, we encounter the grace and mercy of God, which also moves us in the way of right action fit for the Kingdom of God - in response to the outpouring of love into our hearts by way of God's Holy Spirit (Rom. 5:5).
In drawing upon Matthew 5 and Gen 4, Pastor Andrew teaches on how IT'S ORIENTATION DAY. Like one learns the heart beat of the company, in Jesus we learn the heartbeat of heaven (John 15:8-30).
Jesus is showing us the way forward in His kingdom, as salt and light. Loving others, as Christ loved us.
We will face difficulty. Yet, Jesus remains involved in our life, and just as God was concerned about Cain's 'next steps', when facing evil, we can rest assured God is with us in our next steps. He cares about those next steps (1 John 5:3-5). Prompting us, working within us by His spirit (Rom 8:26-28), to de-escalate and pursue kingdom truth and above all reconciliation.
