it's been a rough few weeks and the cortisol has been building up, definitely. but it's coming to a head: tomorrow my wife and my toddler and I leave bc for a trip to peru. the bags are mostly packed, and as long as we don't forget our passports we're set.
It'll be my first time in peru, but my wife has been many times. Her parents have a house in lima, and we'll be staying there. I'm bringing along my m8 and an audio interface, so with a little luck I'll keep my weekly streak going. :)
this track was thrown together quickly. it's basically a little jam built around chopping of some vocal samples of my daughter and I, sequenced through the drum machine. actually, there's two drum machines here, one more chaotic, in the beginning, then fading out, and in the final third there's some pads that come in to quiet the chaos a little bit. the image in my mind is of an airplane taking off, rising above the day-to-day stresses, leaving that behind.
