This is Speedtrash, at least in spirit. Started the day with nothing, but at least spent the full day on it.
Since the deadline was tight, I decided it's a good opportunity to learn an entirely new DAW as well - Everybody say Hi to my first Bitwig project, yay! Still need to figure out the best recording workflow, but it already works pretty well. Big fan of Bitwigs Clip-Launcher/Arranger concept, but I need more time to figure out all the devices. It's a super deep, powerful piece of software, but some rather basic things can turn out to be a little tedious (i.e. sample slicing). But I had fun playing bass, guitar and singing the Doo Doos.
I'm heading into a stretch of maybe 6 weeks where I'll have even less time, so I'm glad I took this opportunity to spend a day on Bitwig before being confined to using the M8 on train rides and commutes again. The thing that threw me off the most was the availabilty of utility-type sounds, meaning especially ear candy, impacts and the like. Not having made music on my PC for such a long time it was kinda tedious to rediscover my sample library, whereas on the M8 I know what to do and what to pick very quickly. But who has time to reorganize their hard drive am I right
