When we stand before God to give an account of how we lived on earth, we will probably begin by telling God that we were good people who tried to help others and bring harmony wherever we went. Certainly, this will get us into eternal paradise, right? No. Jesus said none of that matters: the material things, money, etc, etc. None of that is pleasing to God. What hope do we have then? Well, Christ tells us in John 6 that the only thing that is pleasing to God is...believing!
As we go through this study into what works matter and Jesus' opening conversation about the bread from Heaven, we will read the following verses:
