What is a queue? A queue is a line of people waiting to do something, like buy a cup of coffee, or for something, like waiting for a concert. The British have mastered the art of queueing and just about turned it into a national sport.

They will queue for anything and everything, and will sometimes even join a queue without knowing what they are queuing for.
