Part 2 of the British Love of Queuing - I try to give you all an answer to “Why?” Transcription: “Part 2 Great British Queuing So, why do they love to queue so much?

Well, I think there are lots of reasons, but one of them is definitely national pride. The British went on holiday somewhere, for example, queue for a ski lift or something like that. Tend to take pride in their ability to be able to form an orderly queue and stick to it.

And look down their noses a little bit at people that do not follow these rules, which seem to be respectable and decent. So, yeah, that's one point. Another point is, if you have ever been in a British queue, you will know it is a bonding experience.

My dad loved to queue. It was like old fashioned networking because you all got to stand together and you started chatting and you moaned about the queue together and how long it was taking. So there's also that element too.

It's a bonding experience, for sure, with fellow queuers. And it's truly democratic. And this is a really important point.

The English love fairness and the feeling that it's fair. First one in, first one out. Second one in, second one out.

This is very, very important to, I think, the Brits, that it doesn't matter who you are, you wait your turn. End of part two.”
