In Mark 10:13-16 we find 4 simple things we can do to be better fathers (disciples).

Even if you don’t believe in God or buy into what the Bible says, you can learn something from this story.

This is a battle that you and I face every single day - Who is in CONTROL?

Whatever trial, humiliation, pain, etc. that you are facing, look for how God would position you to accomplish his purpose – it always will have to do with making disciples of Jesus Christ for the kingdom, living stones in an invisible temple that God is building.

Jesus’ example: Only when you are rightly related to God can you have confidence in all your other relationships, both good and bad.

Together globally or in a local assembly like this one, we are the church; we are the temple of the living God. He is here with us and in us.

Everyone else may have missed it, but the disciples didn’t. And here we are, 2000 years later, still talking about what they did and how God used them even in the midst of all of the failure of their generation.

When it comes to Jesus Christ, don’t just LEAN IN; FALL IN behind the King.

The story today is the setting for Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem. All 4 Gospels tell this story – big deal! Here, Luke focuses on Jesus sending his disciples to find a donkey’s colt on which he would ride into the city.
