The John and Gordy Show

Weekly Best of John and Gordy Show for Jul 26

Listen Later

Welcome back to the weekly best of the John and Gordy Show! To kick us off we have Tom and Kristi Manus! They are authors of a book called Historic Wisconsin Roadsides: Towns Off the Beaten Path in the Badger State. They uncovered Wisconsin's hidden gems, from a colossal 1880s circus poster in Durand to the time-traveling department store in Cudahy, selling leisure suits from the '70s. The couple shares their tales of chasing mysteries, like Texas's unexplainable Marfa Lights, and invites listeners to explore Wisconsin's oddities, including the original Butter burger in Glendale and a museum of Dunkin' yoyos in Luck.

Pam Jahnke joins the show recapping her wonderful time at the Dane County Fair! She also goes into depth about Ice Cream Trail! Jim Santelle joins the show later on talking to the guys about how Trump is given the authority to strip the commissions of the National Labor Relations Board.

We end off the show with a member of the Democratic Party and someone who served a total of 22 years as the mayor of Madison, Paul Soglin. They discussed Trump's shifting stance on the Epstein case and the Democrats' struggle to rally their base through political gerrymandering.
