Europe have dominated the USA in the Ryder Cup in recent times, winning seven of the last nine, and they are odds-on favourites to make it three straight wins at Gleneagles this week.

Paul McGinley has been meticulous in his approach to the captaincy and will be expecting to best USA captain, Tom Watson.

Watson was the last USA captain to win the Ryder Cup on European soil, but that was back at The Belfry in 1993.
