The Book of Proverbs, like all others in the Bible, points to Jesus and calls to the reader to know Jesus, to walk with him, and to be in a relationship with him.

The gospel is powerful and transformative. It alters our lives and how we interact with the culture around us.

Our primary service to the Lord is not to do something for him or to give something to him; it is to worship him.

Fear of the Lord removes any notions of a sacred and secular divide. Everyday decisions made in the fear of the Lord are good decisions, marked with honoring and obeying him. Our daily decisions reveal whether we fear the Lord or not.

Just as the Lord Jesus was not abandoned in the grave, neither will those with faith in him be left there. Jesus did not see corruption in the grave, and because of that we will be raised incorruptible.

The Lord is a rewarder of the faithful and righteous, and he is a punisher of the wicked. Why then do wicked people get ahead and righteous people experience tragedy?

God is for creativity, beauty, art, and music; he is for each of these emotional expressions. However, he requires that our expressions be grounded in truth and for his glory.

David longed for God with his body, soul, mind, and strength. When we come to such a level of thirst and hunger for God, he will surely refresh us and satisfy us.
