Plan was different, wanted to experiment recording my voice and use it mainly as atmospheric elements, but here we are, sorry for the out of tune gibberish I decided to sing for this week :)

But! I was again impressed with just recording with the m8, I mean it can really do it all, I even tried to use the fine tune command to steer my vocals here and there, what a crazy device <3 I wish I could record my voice while hearing it monitoring with fxs on top but that is asking too much I think?

Anyway work is getting even more intense right when I thought I could take some time off, I'll keep pushing no matter what! Thank you for passing by as always :)

Getting the new setup closer to how Id like it, but also missed last week due to back injury, so rushed a quick death metal tune to not spend too many hours sat in a position that's killing me lol

Finally back in the saddle! Literally sat down and banged out the chorus chords right away, rolled with it. Verse is a little odd, not sure if it'll survive, same with the bridge. Still with the no MIDI for instruments thing. Didn't get overly intricate with my first track back.

Wanted to go back to roots this week. For me that's acoustic guitar. Quite inspired by the "Acoustic Medley" by In Flames. Definitely got the feeling I wanted.

Ableton Live and Mini Freak up to some shenanigans. For a speed trash track this went through a few very quick revisions before it landed where it's at now. Sorry for the bright master ran out of time to give it a few more passes, but as long as I'm not blowing out peoples speakers or ear drums I'm satisfied. I'll be glad when all this OT at work will be over so I can actually sit down and give these tracks the love I feel they deserve. <3

Side note: it's actually bitter sweet to return to a style of music I first started making back in the late 90's. To be young and full of ambitions and hope for a future, and instead seeing that the world had other plans. Perhaps I didn't try hard enough or give it the attention it deserved. Yes that's part of it. Perhaps imposter syndrome kicked in and I felt like I didn't really have a seat at the table? Yes.

Putting yourself out there is rough. But don't let anyone else tell you, especially yourself, that you should quit. If its in your heart let it out, as long as YOU are happy with it, it does not matter if others get it or not, its not for them, its for you. never forget that.

Unless your a studio musician then ignore, because its 100% not about you. :P
