  • Week 25 - ONE HIT KILL - Won' quit still - LSDJ
I mean... here, have this half cooked meal I made for you.
Very fresh kits I've been working this in LSDJ this week but haven't done more than really showcase 'here's the new kits'.

When in doubt, increase the BPM.
Likely the fastest track this year so far, it's been awhile.
Part of a larger recording. Most sounds are Battering Ram and MIA, however through the recording I would intermittently patch into my wife's system as she started experimenting with Plaits. Absolute wild sounds.
Fun fact, the track here perfectly loops.

Will be short on time for a while and all WB tracks will have to take a back seat while doing soundtrack work. May even skip if need be. Papers signed and time to be heads down starting Tuesday. Went to archery range w/ K and had a day in close to old apartment when moved back. Chatted about life, cars, struggles, and wives. Obligatory swapping of opinions and sharing info. Nice time. Bike saddle broken. Picked up new brooks and mks pedals. Worked on swapping parts between bikes an installing new bits. Finished up and took test ride after baby shower. Fill out more later when not so late.

    Gear Used:
    Yamaha DX-7
    Roland Juno-6
    GFI Specular Tempus
    Zoom L6
    Software Used:
    Izotope Ozone 10
    Ableton
Short on time. Recorded noodling on synths. First time really using the L6 despite owning it for quite some time now. Took stems from L6 to ableton. Light mixing adjustments and mastering. Basically a direct recording though. Very transparent recordings from the L6 compared to DR-40. Maybe time to upgrade field recorder.

I'm working on porting my Max synth engines and sequencers over to handheld devices (for now, Anbernic CubeXX), with some help from Codex. The aim is to have a handheld version of the generative environment I made last year, and make it a bit more concise and performance-friendly.
Here's a quick recording of my modal synth engine ported to what is currently a standalone macOS app, but also works on my Anbernic device, which is pretty great considering it's 16 partials x 4 voices. I added reverb and delay later, hopefully the CubeXX can handle some effects eventually :D

  • Week 25 - angellis - MMXXVI - XXV
This week's track was made with only effects pedals: Michael Rucci's Bent Time Drive and a Zoom MS70CDR.
The Rucci delay is doing most of the heavy lifting here in self oscillating territory. The zoom for reverb and lo-fi delay.
