Hey everyone,

this week is pretty much just a “at least i made something” kind of week. Currently in progress of moving to my new place and everything has been super stressful from ikea delivering the wrong stuff to just tons of physical work and tons of sore muscles.

This was my first try in using logic on the mac. My girlfriend got herself one a while ago and a friend of me kept bugging me about the session instruments of logic and almost forced me to try it so this is it.

Not entirely sure what to think of it (the drums are those session player generated thingy) but i really dont like the workflow. On ipad it felt a bit better than on mac but im pretty sure im just gonna stick to ableton and fl in the future.

I call this a win given very short week for me.

I feel this is another one for the remake in 2027 with more time to polish and maybe extend a bit. I grew to like the Red Wendigo, even if no one knows (and no one wants to know)

Some big heavy doom this week. I wanted to lean more into post-rock melodies with this rather than doom riffing and I like the way it turned out a lot. Definitely a template for future work.

The main chord pattern for this is an old idea from 2015, but like most of my passing ideas, I didn't really know what to do with it so it has just been sitting there. I've floated past it every now and then when I've scanned the vault for WB ideas, but this week it had a little more ear glue than usual.

When I studied music at TAFE many years ago, I remember one of the lecturers talking about an approach to accompaniment having 'passing notes' or something, where you play notes that bridge across key changes or non-diatonic chord patterns typically found in jazz. My music theory knowledge isn't great and my knowledge of jazz is essentially non-existent, so I have no technical way of making such a concept happen, but the idea sounded cool and it stuck with me, so going by ear alone, I attempted to use this pattern as a basis to build such an approach, and also as an attempt to be less rigid to the beat with lead ideas and let it float a bit more.

I am sure jazz purists could point out all that is 'not jazz' about this, but eh, I don't know jazz, so it is what it is. Jaiz? :/

Took another crack at building out my instruments, fx chains and whole workspace from scratch again this week. Sounds a little raw but I'm liking the textures. This week took about an hour on a Sunday afternoon between some other tasks.
