An attempt was made. I liked the drum groove but the bass riddim and tone are not up to par. It's pretty elementary. This also needs a proper piano player to level up.

I set out to make another reverb-heavy synth song but ended up gravitating more towards this sound. It's got a bit of that vibe still, mostly in the secondary synth and the lead, but largely it's a lighter sound.

It is at this moment I realized I have another WB song THIS YEAR that tereads very similar ground thematically. Whoops!

This week was a struggle, not because of inspiration, or difficulty coming up with an idea - but because I've become absolutely addicted to Mewgenics. As always, CC appreciated!

Just like last week, I didn't really feel like doing any music this week. In order to keep the streak running however, on Sunday I challenged myself to create something in about 3 hours. To make things easier, I used the C major scale and based the whole track around the chord progression C-F-G-Em

Is it perfect? No. But I liked the challenge and I am glad that I have created something this week

Week Ate!

'Never Give You Up' a continuations from last weeks cinematic intro type beat. I sketched out a rough idea of this song last week, and was able to dive in Saturday and work all day/night to finish it after many renditions and countless mixdowns. I'd like to keep the 'mix' going for an EP or something but not sure if I'll focus on that idea.

I’m trying to stick with the piano until I regain my confidence/inspiration/idunnowhat

For me my style of noodling isn't very complex.  It's mostly me just trying to soothe the inner thoughts with some low tones and happy distractions.     

So until I rediscover the beats and also feel like my computer isn’t going to zap into thin air,

the piano is going to keep me afloat.

Everyone has been so supportive I guess I’m just writing this out for my own inner-criticism.

The devil on the shoulder thang.

Thank you for all the sweet comments, my dad is doing much better.  The AFIB thankfully has been relatively quiet with my new medication dosage.  I’m still partially afraid to leave my computer.  Like it’s gonna zap away into the ether.  The new SSD drive is so quiet I feel like I’m using a ghost pooter.
