Made this earlier today, when it was about -11 degrees (fahrenheit) outside. It was pretty damn cold in my room and my heater wasn't turned on.

This is also a remaster/reprise/whatever of an unfinished song I made in June of last year I guess.

Got stuck at home since Sunday due to massive snowfall, and had to delay my flight because of it too, so with some spare days at my disposal I decided to learn how to use the internal sequencer on my Ensoniq EPS. I will just say, I don't think I will ever use it again 🤣 but it could be useful to record little sequences.

I also wanted to make a track just with sounds from my BSII which just got a knob cap facelift, so everything (except for the breakbeat) is from the BSII, sampled onto the EPS, at various sample rates.

Everything recorded into Ableton for further sound processing, sample chopping and arranging.

To wrap it all up, I resuscitated an alias I have not used in 12 years - probably used it last here on Weeklybeats in 2014. I'll keep my EPS beat experiments under this one.

I was so sick I could barely move this week... and I did the same thing I did last week - leave my beat till the last minute and start working on it at 9pm on a Sunday... Not ideal, but better than nothing.

The more I work on it, the more things I find that I want to do differently.

I'm simultaneously enjoying the advantage of developing a tune over a number of weeks, but I'm also feeling a sense of FOMO of doing a different piece every week.

I've done previous years where I was left with a lot of sketches, but nothing really solid; so I'm enjoying taking my time with it, even though when I'm in the wrong mood - everything sounds cringe.

None the less... I enjoy having a little pet project in the background.
