[01:01] Your persona is the major guiding force in all your marketing endeavors, which is key to any successful campaign. Without it, it's all guesswork. You do not want to do any guesswork when it comes to spending money on marketing.

[03:37] The marketplace and economy are changing, and your audience is changing over time, too. Marketing in a challenging environment works if you consistently reach out. Look at the information you've got in your customers, Google Analytics, demographics, and other tools and resources to know where you can find them, where you can market to them, what they like, and what they don't like.

In the Hudson Valley, where I reside, there's a massive population shift here due to people coming out of the metro New York City area moving into this area. As a marketer, the question worth often asking is how well you know your locality and how best you speak to them.

The old messaging you used might have worked many years ago, but now you have to go and look deeper into your audience and see who's moving in and how you can customize reaching out to this new population.
