I didn’t understand why, when someone was doing all the right things, that they wouldn’t be seeing fat loss, but mentally and physically be experiencing all the negatives of fat loss. This, and experiencing low testosterone, progesterone, and T3 levels that made it so I could barely lose 1/2 lb in 1 month, made me realize there is more to the whole calories in vs calories out, than we realize. I always knew that hormones and other systems played a role, but to stop or slow down my fat loss to that degree?!! This wasn’t a matter of “I didn’t know who to track” either. Once I got my thyroid and sex hormones in a better place, my body went back to responding normal again. It made me wonder, how many of my ‘slow to no responder’ clients were dealing with something much deeper? And how I needed to educate myself better to help more woman.
