Weird World Weekly

There's a structure in Atchison, Kansas that has the reputation as one of the most haunted places in the U.S.  Could it be the daughter of a former occupant who refuses to leave? On this episode of Weird World Weekly, Matt and Dave will investigate this hot spot for paranormal activity.  They'll also discuss a video that recently surfaced that seems to show someone in the crowd of a 1995 Mike Tyson fight, holding what looks like a very modern looking smart phone.

Every culture on Earth has their stories, handed down from generation to generation, about creatures that stalk the living.  An example of this are the ghouls, which we talked about on previously on this podcast.  Another though is the Wendigo, which originates from the native peoples of North America.

On this episode of Weird World Weekly, Matt and Dave will discuss it's characteristics, history and why people feared it in the past, and may still to this day!

The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado; at the gateway to the rocky mountains but perhaps also at the entrance to the world of the paranormal.  This resort is famous for many things, including being the inspiration for Stephen King's "The Shining," but also because of it's spiritual activity.

On this episode of Weird World Weekly, Matt and Dave discuss a recent story reporting photographic evidence of it's haunting but, how real could it be?

Stories of ghouls originate in the Middle East sometime during the Middles Ages.  Tales of these undead beings then travelled to Europe where they quickly became a subject in literature.  The ghoul has many different traits, including shapeshifting and has often been used as a catch-all evil creature in horror from  books to movies, video games, television and more.

On this episode of Weird World Weekly Matt and Dave find out exactly what a ghoul is and why we're still fascinated with them after all these years.

A parallel universe is a theory of a self-contained separate reality co-existing with one's own. A specific group of parallel universes is called a "multiverse", although this term can also be used to describe the possible parallel universes that constitute reality. In 2008 a message appeared on-line from a Spanish woman who claimed to have slipped from her own universe, into ours.

On this episode of Weird World Weekly Matt and Dave will explore this mystery and her fantastical claims.  What made a woman, living a "normal" life suspect she had travelled from one reality to another?

On a summer day, a few years following the end of World War II, a lone cargo ship was crossing the Pacific Ocean. Nobody knows what it's destination was, or the kind of things it was transporting.  What we do know is, the ship sent out an S.O.S. claiming a sudden a horrific calamity of some sort.  The message was cryptic and what the rescuers found was even more horrific.

On this episode of Weird World Weekly Matt and Dave will explore the mystery of The Ourang Medan Death Ship.  Was the U.S. government involved in it's demise, and if so, what was the reason for covering it up?
