Neil Johnson was born in the UK and identifies as being from Yorkshire where he spent most of his childhood. He was educated partly in the UK and partly in Australia. Neil permanently left Australia in 1999 and resides in the USA and sometimes in the UK. He is a is a British film and music video producer, director, and editor best known for his long association with heavy metal band Manowar, and for directing and writing science fiction Films.
