So many of us change who we are to keep a man. We abandon what makes us unique to please him.

I was 11 years old and molested on New Year's Eve. It left a scar, heart, mind and spirit. Often we are told to forget and forgive. I share my story and the valuable lesson I learned.

So many dimish our value because of our weight, looks and that is so unfair. I've done it on so many occasions. Today i encourage us to 1. Know our value. 2. Stop breaking promises to ourselves. 3.Stop allowing others to dimish our value. 5. Fire people from our life.

How many times have you stop having a relationship because of how people have mistreated you? Bad relationships gone sour so you stop dating. Guess What I've punished myself on many of occasions. Feared friendships. I chat about how I am no longer punishing myself.

Kwanzaa was introduced to me by my Uncle Khalid. He helped me understand that Kwanzaa is a celebration of family, Community and Culture. I share the lesson I learned.
