Episode 1: Meet Mama Vida – Your Guide to Healing, Power & Spiritual Truth

Welcome to the very first episode of The Almighty Pineapple, where spirit, wisdom, and practical guidance meet to help you step into your power and reclaim your life. I’m your host, Mama Vida—some of you may know me as Apetebi, a child of Elegua, Teacher, Consultant, Guide, Curandera, Espiritista, and Psychic Medium with all the clairs—clairvoyant, clairaudient, clairsentient, claircognizant. I am also a 5th-generation hereditary witch, walking in the footsteps of powerful ancestors who have guided me since birth, and I have been honored with multiple titles through community recognition and elder initiations.

In this episode, I share my journey and introduce the work I’ve been doing for over 37 years as a spiritual advisor. I began this path around age 14 under the guidance of my grandmother in Cuba, who practiced for her close family and friends. Spiritual gifts run deep in my family, though many relatives no longer walk this path. Over the years, I’ve trained, studied, and practiced in a wide range of traditions including Paganism (over 20 years, as a proud daughter of Hekate), Ifa, Lukumi, Catholicism, Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, and the original Bible and Apocrypha. I’ve also worked with Native American communities, sourcing sages, wands, and spiritual tools, and learning directly from Lakota elders, integrating these teachings into my spiritual practice.
