What is humanity's greatest need?

When assessing evidence, it important to be as objective as possible. Most of the time, our assessment of the evidence is coloured by bias/experience etc… The apostle John is carefully and skillfully, layer-by-layer, presenting evidence that Jesus is more than just some extraordinary man – he is God.

The religious leaders, though they were scholars of the Scriptures, they had rejected the message of the Bible, because they were blind to its most important teaching: Jesus is the Christ. Jesus is the Son of God. Jesus is God.

Is there such a thing as right and wrong, or good and evil?

If you do not know Jesus, you can never know the Father.

If you were asked to pick the perfect candidates for Gods kingdom, what things would you look for?

In this section of John (ch 2-4), he wants us to know that Jesus is the One that is bringing in the new creation; and he does this by showing us how Jesus both fulfills and surpasses the Jewish institutions.
