What is love? In a world that keeps redefining it, Scripture reminds us: “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God” (1 John 4:7). God doesn’t just show love— He is love.
The Bible describes Agape love—steadfast, unconditional, and sacrificial. It’s not based on feelings but on a decision to love like Jesus. In John 4, Jesus shows this love at the well, crossing boundaries to meet a woman’s deeper need, saying, “Whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again” (John 4:14).
True love both confronts and connects. It meets needs but always points to the need-meeter. Godly love looks like the cross - the greatest display of Agape love the world has ever known.
