Waiting On A Friend is Natalie's stunning debut novel, a story following a young lesbian living in New York City in 1984, as the AIDS crisis began to take hold of the city. She has the ability to see ghosts, and more than anything, she longs to see her friend Mark again. But Mark doesn't come through. Hence the title.

Natalie opens up about why she chose to set her story in this devastating time in queer history, a nod to her extraordinary aunt, the importance of friendship and community and some of her all-time favourite reads.
