Kate Daviesis an independent fertility nurse consultant, IVF Coach and director of Your Fertility Journey, a company which provides high-quality advice and support for women and couples struggling to conceive naturally or who are navigating IVF. They also offer corporate consultancy to organisations looking to promote fertility wellbeing in the workplace. Kate works together in a team to assist with understanding the benefits of supporting the fertility needs of employees such as increased engagement, improved performance and profitability and setting organisations apart as an employer of choice. Julie partners with organisations across the UK to raise awareness, educate and introduce menopause as an inclusive topic. The combination of Julie’s personal experience of menopause and business background means she is well placed to understand both the needs of the mid life female employee and the needs of your business. Julie helps organisations by providing workshops to equip employees with a range of strategies for managing symptoms like hot flushes, poor sleep, brain fog, fatigue and anxiety both at work and at home. Ngozi Weller is a mental wellbeing and productivity coach who helps progressive companies to strengthen their employees’ mental resilience and improve workplace productivity. She believes that good mental health and wellbeing is as fundamental to life as good physical health and that you have the right to a fulfilling career, personal life and purpose.
Having worked for over 15 years in the world of Big Oil, Ngozi has experienced first-hand how challenging the corporate world can be, especially for those who have families to support. Having started her business following her own battle with depression and anxiety, she has a soft spot for those willing to brave it on their own. This led her to set up Aurora with her psychologist cousin Obehi to empower others to lead fulfilling lives.
She talks about the impact which lockdown and covid in the news had on HR managers, having to keep up constant with the news and changes in restrictions. She set up small HR wellbeing workshops to help these managers talk about their pressures. This led to a linkedin foundry being set up based around this so these HR managers felt they had a network and people they could connect with. She goes on to talk about how some businesses have adapted their plans around wellbeing in the workplace and how this needs to be something which is considered more. She defines ‘psychological safety’ and talks about how important trust is between employees and managers so people feel comfortable opening up about their wellbeing.

Maria Valero started her career journey by studying social work, having worked for Save the Children and other charities in her home country of Spain. She moved to the UK 10 years ago with no English language skills. She became a Bar back and then a bartender, before working in Administration, HR and marketing. Currently, she works at Stuart as their Senior Global HR Business partner, wherein she plans and develops the HR strategy across three countries with a focus on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, in addition to wellbeing and mental health.
Maria begins by explaining the challenges and her solutions that she has found when combating the inclusion of diversity, inclusion, mental health and wellbeing. She states that remote working has been a challenge for her at Stuart but through answering questions and being available to their employees during these uncertain times, they have managed to implement different devices that have had great benefits and results. Maria goes on to give advice and initiatives that others can introduce within their own HR teams and workplaces to grow the culture and have good practice. She also gives her experience with using surveys to measure and track how well the employees respond to each initiative and adapt accordingly.
