These verses called the Shema, which means to "hear," were foundational to Israel's relationship with Yahweh as a nation and as individuals, just as they are for us today.  It commanded Israel and commands us to acknowledge His oneness, love Him completely with our entire being, live His commands, diligently teach them to our children, and incorporate them into daily life. The most important question we can ask ourself each day..."Is loving God at the center of my life?"

To whom shall we go? The best and only answer to that question is the Lord. He is the living water that satisfies and refreshes our souls.  Whatever difficult situations we may encounter, we can find rest in knowing that He is always faithful, is always with us and will always bring us through.

While we live in an imperfect and broken world and await a perfect place...heaven, God has given us His Holy Spirit. We only need to surrender and align our will to His will, choose to abide in Him and in doing so, we will live a victorious and joy filled life this side of heaven.
