  • Are You An Investor or Trader?
“Trading is a skillset, and it’s almost entirely algorithmic at this point. If you’re not using machine learning, artificial intelligence, and sentiment analysis on social media, you’re going to get burnt.” - Jeremy Gardner

Most of us aren’t The Wolf Of Wall Street.

Sure, we could handle the parties and excess of money, but the lifestyle of a great trader is something you don’t walk into. For most of us, investing means putting money in long-term value plays and checking the progress along the way. It is not the sleepless nights of caffeine-binging, watching the charts and making the hundreds of trades day in and day out.

On today’s episode of The Bitcoin Crypto Mentor Mastermind Show, we are joined by Jeremy Gardner, founder of the decentralized prediction blockchain Augur, which at a market-cap of $300 million is said to be the most undervalued crypto-project in Silicon Valley. His expertise in crypto-trading is unprecedented, as he shares his insights today on how to approach investing vs. trading.

“If you accept the view that this technology will change our perception of how value is exchanged, then it doesn’t matter whether it goes down or up in the short-term.” - Jeremy Gardner

    Points to Keep In Mind
    • Rebalancing your portfolio requires checking your profits against the thesis of your investment
    • When investing in tech, have a thesis about both the technology and the value of the technology
      • Unless your thesis on the technology changes (as opposed to the value of the technology) you should always be rebalancing your portfolio
    • The entire crypto market is based off speculative value
    • Businesses are either parasitic (exploiting others) or symbiotic (helping others) or anywhere in between
    • Ripple is a blockchain designed to transfer large sums of money between financial institutions with more liquidity (helps banks be more honest/transparent)
    • Bitcoin is an asset class that has an unprecedented rate of appreciation
    • Algorithmic trading is the only way to trade

  • Why Prediction Is The Ultimate Superpower
“Forget a jury of 12. You could put evidence up on the blockchain and have 10,000 people of all ages and backgrounds vote. That’s justice.” - Tai Lopez

Our systems are built on trust.

We trust our banks to hold our money, our schools to teach our children, and our government to protect our identity. We do this because we have to. How else would our world work if we didn’t have to trust other parties?

The answer is blockchain. And on today’s episode of The Bitcoin Crypto Mentor Mastermind show, we are discussing the predictive power of blockchain technologies. By keeping a detailed, open-source ledger, blockchain is able to shed unprecedented transparency on all transactions. It’s about more than making money with blockchain. Rather, we should focus on the benefits this technology will create for all sectors of humanity.

“Imagine a restaurant that has dirty food. They should have an F but they pay the health commissioner $1000 and suddenly they have an A. Humans can survive in our current system, but we just live in a world filled with food poisoning.” - Tai Lopez

    Points to Keep In Mind
    • Depression/sadness is functionally adaptive, tells your body to stop doing the thing that is making you miserable
    • Blockchain could rupture the fabric of the criminal-justice system to cause a more just system
      • Our current model with a 12-person jury is model of a centralized system, highly susceptible to corruption and bias

      • Decentralizing systems spreads out the mechanics, making it harder to manipulate
    • Blockchain is not just spreading out location; rather, worldviews, ethnicities, gender, sexual orientation, etc.

  • Could Bitcoin Bring Utopia?
“Who do you want having their thumb on the nuclear bomb? The guy who loves war or the person who says, “I’m only going to do this if I have to.” - Tai Lopez

Today’s problems are rooted in centralization.

From governing bodies to education boards, most of our society’s battery power is generated in centralized teams. Sure we elect officials through a democratic process to stand in these circles, but once elected, the procedure that follows is highly susceptible to corruption.

This is where blockchain technology comes in. By decentralizing the decision-making power, transparent and truly democratic process can be implemented across every industry. The crypto coin is just the function that incentivizes people to partake in the blockchain. But it should not be the focus.

On today’s episode of The Bitcoin Crypto Mentor Mastermind show, we are discussing the predictive power of blockchain technologies. What will the world look like when every industry adopts an open-source ledger to execute their function? The answer is that all sectors of humanity will benefit.

“Half of the world’s problems are because centralization brings narcissists to the top.” - Tai Lopez

    Points to Keep In Mind
    • Communism cannot work in societies with centralized governments
    • In Amish communities, to become a minister you cannot ask to be one (they draw straws)

    • Blockchain technology makes it near impossible for people to hack things in secret
      • Decentralizing systems spreads out the mechanics, making it harder to manipulate
    • Blockchain is more than spreading out location: worldviews, ethnicities, gender, sexual orientation, etc.
    • Blockchain technology could invert the occupation formula where consensus is reached by the people on who would make a great (insert occupation)

  • Predict The Future Using Blockchain Technology
“The more powerful application of blockchain technology will be how we predict things. Bigger than how we change money.” - Tai Lopez

Blockchain technology will help us do more than make money.

By decentralizing the decision-making power, transparent procedures can be implemented across every industry. Cryptocurrency is just the function that incentivizes people to partake in the blockchain. But it should not be mistaken as the focus.

On today’s episode of The Bitcoin Crypto Mentor Mastermind show, we are discussing the predictive power of blockchain technologies. It’s about more than making money with blockchain. Rather, we should focus on the types of benefits the technology will create for all sectors of humanity.

“Blockchain will enable justice for injustice. The right people get put in prison and the right people get set free. School systems where you learn things that are going to help you in life.” - Tai Lopez

    • Blockchain technology makes it near impossible for people to hack things in secret
      • Decentralizing systems spreads out the mechanics, making it harder to manipulate
    • Blockchain is not just spreading out location; rather, worldviews, ethnicities, gender, sexual orientation, etc.
    • 3 types of artificial intelligence: cyborgs, supercomputers, and collaborative intelligence
    • Charlie Munger says, “Beware of perverse incentives”

    • Blockchain could power an intrapersonal lending system, so your peers lend you their excess money instead of banks charging $35 for $1 credit
    • Being first to something means nothing, it’s purely luck
    • Humans are susceptible to availability bias; you believe what’s in front of you
    • Cryptocurrency is just the necessary function of the bigger blockchain organism
      • People need a monetary stake to be incentivized to voice their vote/opinion
