In 2009, I was invited to join a Paranormal Ghost Hunting Team to investigate the reported haunting activities at the Sigma Nu house on the University of Kansas campus in Lawrence, Kansas.

Recently, Matt De Sarle asked if I would share what I remember about that investigation as part of his series featuring haunted locations in Kansas. Free State Horror Stories.

In retrieving some of the images I took while we were there, I have two that are curious. One is an orb near the ceiling of one of the interior rooms. Another is a patch of something that appears to be fog in a picture taken from the outside roof.

The featured image on this page is one I played with because I liked the colors. I've included the orb and fog photos in a blog post.

In doing this series, Matt says he learned a lot about what goes on in a ghost hunting investigation. We also talk about what happened during our interview segment - not included in the video. He says - that was the last thing he expected to hear on that day.

At Sigma Nu - I had [and still have] a very clear impression of an older woman seated in a rocker on a porch. It is her space and she is quite content to stay there. We don't exist for her.

My strongest impressions from Sigma Nu did not include Virginia. The connection was with Stella who wanted it known that she was being scapegoated. The impression from her was that she enjoyed her life in that space and the gossip about her being a murderess - is unfounded.
 
From her vantage point, the truth behind the rumors will never see the light of day. Too much time has passed.

She would like to have the slate cleaned. But - as the gossip is so very juicy - Stella may have to settle knowing there are some who, rather than hearsay, prefer to rely on hard evidence for a conviction. And none has been found to exist.

I spoke with Lisette Larkins when she was still doing interviews in 2015 and am revisiting that interview now because of the renewed interest in UFOs and Contactee stories.

Lisette is forthright about spending time in a psych unit and admits she had her own doubts about her sanity. (A common theme among Contactees/Experiencers.)

She says the additional 6 years in therapy helped her determine for herself (and her Therapist) sanity was not the issue.

She considers contact positive spiritual mentoring and believes ETs expanded her awareness of her "immortal self" and helped her explore patterns of self victimization and internal fear, behavior that created certain life experiences for her to address and overcome.

Lisette offers insight into how one might initiate or even become aware of their own interaction with Extraterrestrials and tracks her personal shift from fear to understanding due to familiarity through ongoing (3 decades) of encounters.

The takeaway at 31:38 = "The meat of the experience is about the internal shift that occurs not only for Contactees but for all of the people around the Contactee."

Following up with John Foster's daughter, Kindra remembers the day her father's memories came flooding back. She was also there when he made contact with the "familiar strangers" who remembered meeting while undergoing similar encounters.

Multiple witnesses sharing the same recollections helped many experiencers come to terms with a reality that challenges the mainstream norm. 
 
After Kindra and I spoke, John offered an additional account regarding the day of Kindra's birth. 

~ "I was working in a uranium mine 50 miles east of Riverton, Wyoming. We lived in Riverton.
When Annie's water broke early in the morning, we got in the car and sped toward the hospital. While on the way, I looked up beside our car and saw UFO disc-shaped craft following us. They flew at our speed just above the tree tops beside the the car. When we reached the hospital, I saw something else that was strange, something I don't quite remember.
As Kindy was being born, one of the nurses or a hospital helper (who was Native American) came up to me and told me that I had a very beautiful and special daughter. I said, "Yes, I know. We think she is special. etc, etc. Yet she kept telling me that she was special.
Well, my work at the mine included surveying mining claims and establishing new methods for ore extraction. And while surveying we were in tall sagebrush that bred multitudes of ticks. Every night those of us on the survey crew had to take 15 to 30 ticks off our bodies. And we were told to go to the hospital to get tick shots.
While there after Kindy's birth, that same lady came up to me and repeated the comments on how special our daughter was. And I repeated the same answers.

She then said that I didn't understand, that the spirits had shown up at the campfire on the reservation the night before Kindy was born and told the tribe about her birth. "The voice" said that Kindy would help their people at some time in the future.

I asked her what the spirits looked like and she said, "You know, it was like a disc or light hovering over the campfire, etc." She said the voice spoke from the light or disc.

As it turned out Kindy did help their people by writing and producing a educational video for the Nebraskan tribes, a video about the oral traditions of the tribes, etc.
It's also interesting that my folks came to the hospital a couple of days after Kindy's birth. As we were walking up to the front door of the hospital, we saw a disc manifest and a small booth develop up against the hospital's outside wall...and the voice spoke words that I don't quite remember." ~

Synchronicity. Right place, right time. April has a fantastic example that involves her Dad and Jimi Hendrix. Path 11 Productions is also asking for submissions to be included in upcoming productions.

All Saints' Day arrived with a flourish. 2:30 am. Time change made it 1:30 am. Awake and deciding to read for awhile, I turn on a bedside lamp. No response. I try again. Nothing. Inconvenienced now, I get up and change the bulb. No response. Fine. I use another reading light.

In the morning, as I suspected, the visitor is gone. The light responds just like it should have last night. No issues with the switch. Bulbs are both fine.

Tweaked. Are you paying attention? This is my normal.

This haunted house experience happened over a year ago. I have mentioned it but could not reveal the location. Now that the house has been torn down, I can identify it. 

Although the house is gone, a [one or more] presence might remain in the space. Our physical plane is simply an overlay. Spirits of land and dwellings occupy their own space. 

When our PSI abilities evolve we will notice them. They can be positive and/or negative given our awareness and our response.

On that note, my experience has been one of protection.  One Halloween several years ago, I was invited to a small gathering at a (haunted) bookstore. One guest introduced himself as a warlock and filmmaker. He offered some wine he brought to share (The labels were odd). I abstained but accepted a business card to consider interviewing him. 

At home, shortly before midnight, my husband and I were in bed when we heard tapping on the bedroom window. Too high for a person. No birds. No shadow to be seen. We elected not to open the curtain and ignored the entertainment. It stopped. No doubt having other homes to visit.

I threw away the business card, an inadvertent invitation and tracking method. I have no proof simply a gut instinct I have learned to trust. 

There is so much more going on here that it would seem. Believe it or not. Halloween is no joke. All Saints' Day liberates and clears the ghosts.

This is our second interview. I continued to correspond with John after our first session.

Experiencer - nearly 5 decades - Time travel, ETs, childhood encounters, encounters involving multiple others - and that is just a brief overview.

Up until this year - the 'powers that be' [influential high level military, gov, scientists, etc.] - kept avoiding and disavowing any knowledge of UFOs because - they didn't exist.

John knows otherwise - no matter what the 'powers that be' profess. They've been here all along and now - due to a recent flip of a coin somewhere - one can admit in public without a whole lot of ridicule - they believe in UFOs. One problem with that. We still don't know what they are.

John is just one individual who has known about and experienced their presence since childhood. Born in 1937. He was chosen - along with multiple others - for a project.

When Rob provided the EVP equipment as part of a paranormal investigation of the Sigma Nu Fraternity house in Lawrence, Kansas (2009), I was there as the Psychic/Intuitive.
