So anything fun at the Oscars? Look, we got to talk about it. We know you've heard everyone else talk about it. We know you've talked about it. But have you heard us blame Jada for everything? We then discuss the winners and losers of the 94th Academy Awards. The answer to both is unironically Denzel. Then after a quick sidebar on Dafoe's dick we sit down at the Round Table to review each other's picks from last week. Two of them actually won awards. The other is Nightmare Alley. March 04, 2022 Pump UP The Volume, Spirited Away, In The Mood For Love.
Herein lies the beauty of HBOMAX. A couple of genuine award winning films, and a cultural classic. Hang on tight for this one. On the Roundtable this time we discuss 1990's Pump Up The Volume, and whether or not podcasting is the new pirate radio. Also, does freedom of speech have limits? Then we dive into Studio Ghibli's Spirited Away. Does Miyazaki's masterpiece deserve the pods first 5 star rating? Finally, we clean this wildly deep ride up by defining love (told you to hang on) with a full review of Wong Kar Wai's In The Mood For Love.
We then move from the Roundtable back into the streams with a trio of Academy Award nominated pics available on HBOMAX. Just in time for Oscar's big night. We'll discuss some of this years contenders for the big award and make our 'Gimme 5' picks for the ceremony. Maybe we'll do better than 2/5 this time.

Once in a great while a film comes along that draws a line in the sand. Creates a divide that splits audiences in half. Sparks a debate on a question for the ages. That question. Is Hobo with a Shotgun great? Well, good news for you is we will answer that question. Uh, I think? We'll certainly give our opinions on it. Repeatedly... Then we touch base on The Murders at Starved Rock before NOT discussing Brubaker and the dangers of a films limited time on the stream. After a quick side bar on which Star Wars movie was the best of the newest trilogy, the boys go pan to pan while sifting for their next recommendations. The bad news is everything in this stream may be gold. The good news is you've never heard our opinions on these classics and blockbuster icons.
