Where did Yeshua get the idea of apostles from? Was that a Jewish thing, and if so were there other apostles back then? And how about now, does God still call apostles? What would that look like? This is a takeaway from my newest Mishnah Snapshots study. We also talked about Peter's nickname and how in Greek it meant Rock but in Hebrew it meant Runaway, what the High Priest was doing on the night of Yom Kippur, three people who inspired me when I first started teaching Hebrew, the question of whether God was in the Second Temple when the ark wasn't, and the location of the Holy of Holies on the Temple Mount today.
