Hey everyone – I hope this finds you well, and enjoying the warming days. Our flowers are planted, so now there’s no looking back – summer MUST come!
We’re gathering at Sam’s Place on Sunday, complete with the final “pre-summer” session of the Kids Table program. Please note – we will continue to provide a distinct space for our little’s to play, interact, or melt down (as required), but for the months of June – August, there won’t be an adult leader assigned to that time. We’ll kick that back into gear in September.
For the Talky Bit, I’ll be continuing our exploration about prayer, with a consideration of what I believe is the most common form of human prayer – the inarticulate and spontaneous things that “go off” inside of us, and sometimes burst out of us. Among other things, we ‘ll examine a moment in Jesus’ life where he seems rather at a loss, both for understanding of how human / Divine interactions take place, and for a way to put adequate words around the situation he finds himself in. And yet, something rather lovely comes of it. My desire is to stir in our hearts and minds the possibility that not only are such prayers common, but they are also a fine way to find ourselves in the company of the Divine.
I’ll see you on Sunday! Coffee’s on…
Peace,
Tim Plett
